Richard KlankRichard Klank mieszka i pracuje w stanie Maryland, gdzie od ponad 30 lat wykłada teorię malarstwa i sztuki na Uniwersytecie Maryland. Jego samodzielne wystawy były prezentowane w Corcoran Gallery of Art., Smithsonian Museum of Art., waszyngtońskiej National Cathedral, w siedzibie Banku Światowego oraz w innych galeriach. Prace Klanka były wystawiane w kilku galeriach w Key West (Fred Gross Gallery, Artist Warehouse Gallery, Lois Locklear, Victoria Lesser and Fort Martello Museum oraz na wystawie retrospektywnej w Tennessee Williams Fine Arts Center) oraz w innych częściach USA - na Thanksgiving Square w Dallas, Arkos Gallery w Lenox w stanie Maryland i Chosen Land nad jeziorem Sabbath Day w stanie Maine. Jego sława sięga poza granice Stanów Zjednoczonych, o czym świadczą wystawy m.in.. w Museum of Modern Art w Rijece, w Brukseli, Moguncji czy Londynie.

Przez ostatnie lata twórczość Klanka ewoluowała w kierunku "malarstwa muzycznego". Richard maluje podczas gdy śpiewaczka Carmen Balthorp i skrzypek Daniel Heifetz wykonują utwory klasyczne. Latem 2001 roku namalował tą metodą 12 obrazów podczas publicznych występów w Heifetz String Institute w Wolfeboro w stanie New Hampshire. Obecnie artysta pracuje z pracownikiem wydziału teatralnego Uniwersytetu Maryland, Scotem Reese, przy połączeniu musicalu z malarstwem.
