Tadeusz Andrzej Łapiński was born 20 June 1928 in Mazovian Rawa, studied painting under direction of Artur Nacht-Samborski, but the graphics under direction of Józef Pakulski and Józef Toma at the academy of fine arts in Warsaw. In 1955 he received a diploma. His talent and personality traits opened the doors for him to the world artistic career. In 1963 he left from Poland. After the stay in Yugoslavia, France and Brazil he settled in the United States, where from 1972 acted as the full professor at university of State Maryland. He is laying the painting and the graphics out. The colourful lithograph is a technique to which T. Łapiński devoted the most attention and of effort in one's creative work. He is an author of original solutions in the workshop of the colour drawing. Artistic imagination and the technology, in the end which the effect of the having many colours and the saturation with the colour is being get for are putting T. Łapiński in the lead of the contemporary graphics in the world and are an inspiration for young authors, especially in the academe, where T. Łapiński is lecturing on.
